Probably, some of you are watching posts of all people who stayed raw vegan for years with their happy healthy faces and beautiful plates of wonderful food, wishing you had enough strength/time/money/will power/etc to be one of them.

That’s me for sure, I was on and off raw vegan for…

I started with “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead” both movies in one night. These movies, unlike many, are not pushing or threatening for not eating healthy. Plus no miracle stories where people were magically cured from life-threatening diseases and lived happily ever after. Just giving an idea where to start and…

It is easy to notice by the time gap in posts that I slipped. There are a lot of excuses I can write about, but no need... you probably already know them.

This time I’m coming with a completely different approach. The idea of self-love. When you love yourself, your…

I love green juicing so much, can’t explain why. Taste is bitter and sour and so refreshing, it wakes me up better than two shots of espresso.

I make bets with kids, who can sip this juice and don’t make a face. They just love it and try their best…

So good news, my husband decided to join me. That means less cooking for me and also a companion in my journey.

sprouted barley and wheat seeds mashed with ripe banana

I finally see my skin glowing, something that I really like about raw vegan lifestyle. Today I skipped sad meal because I didn’t feel any cravings, but this is probably because there was nothing yummy to eat. Ok, confession, I ate few chocolate candies and I don’t feel guilty about it!

Today is three weeks since I got back to raw vegan. I had my ups and downs, right now settled for one sad meal a day, and everything else is healthy. I lost 7 pounds over this time, which I’m very happy about.

Unlike my other attempts, I’m not cooking a lot of foods, like cashew frozen candies or dehydrated crackers. I do sprout a lot and I make green juices that I love love. I don’t feel an urge anymore to stuff something bread-like into my mouth, though it helped a lot before. Here is my favorite recipe from Facebook:

sprouted alfa-alfa with tomatoes, avocado, salt, pepper, cumin and paprika. And homegrown basil. Not going to add avocado next time. probably bell peppers instead.

I eat one sad meal a day, so I won’t slip completely back into unhealthy world. Progress is noticeably slower, but at least I don’t give up completely. Sometimes I can’t wait for the sad meal, sometimes I don’t even feel like eating it today. Sweets though are…

soaked overnight flax seeds with banana and mango — tastes good! I usually do it without mango, but mango adds more flavor and sweetness.

Day 8. I feel like I deserve a reward after doing so well for the whole week, a food award… right… oh you sneaky brain, playing tricks on me.

Day 9. Squeezing juice from celery, kale and a lemon in the morning. Started to call my juicer — coffeemaker. I…

Starting from day 2–3 you go number two so often, it’s unbelievable so much of “it” can be in ones body at the same time.

Around day 3–4 together with an old friend hunger comes lightness. You’ll start to sleep a bit better than usual, feel a bit less tired…

I started (again) On Feb 14th 2021, after a long road trip during which we ate mostly junk, after which I gained at least 5 pounds and felt sick to the stomach of heavy food. …
